Hi I'm Sarah.

I was born in Oregon, but have grown up in Idaho the past 11 years. I'm a singer who is obsessed with the arts, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been told I'm a social butterfly. I am currently in my Junior Year at my high school and I plan to go to BYUI for either a Music or Psychology major. Music is literally my life: it's the air I breathe, my drug (figuratively speaking, of course), and pretty much all I need to survive. I am a sister to two wonderful brothers and a daughter of awesome parents. I love theater, the arts, food, and anime/manga!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised in the church my whole life, and words cannot even begin to express how grateful I am for this Gospel. The light it brings to my life and how happy I am it is there is something I cannot express. I'm so grateful for the knowledge it brings that God loves us, and wants all of his Children to come back to him. I know that this gospel is true; I know it without a single doubt in my mind, and I can testify of that by the power prayer brings. I have reached out to my Heavenly Father in times of great sorrow and need, and He has always been there for me. This same spirit testifies how Joseph Smith was the first prophet of the church and how Heavenly Father called him, as he does with all his prophets. I also know that the Bible and The Book of Mormon are the word of God, and by reading his word, I only come to love him more and more. He has done everything for me - why not serve him with all my heart, might, mind, and strength?

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everywhere I go: high school, family,. friends, etc. My parents are the greatest examples of living their faith, and I hope someday to be that example for my own children. I try to love those around me, which can be very difficult at times, but I try my very best to live as a disciple of Christ and to be an example; that does not mean I have to be the very best one, but I treat people the way the Savior would. I tell my friends about the Gospel nearly all the time, and that can be pretty intimidating and scary.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

I received my own testimony of knowing that this Church is true by reading The Book of Mormon. In the very last chapter in that Book, two verses are significantly important. They read: "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." So, first you sincerely pray to your Heavenly Father with all the intensity of heart to ask Him what you are learning is true, the Holy Ghost will reveal the truth unto you, whether it be in the form of peace, hope, comfort, or happiness. If you have already felt these things, the Holy Ghost has already testified to you that these things are true. Show more Show less
