Hi I'm Austin

I love music. I'm an only child. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Mesa, Arizona, as an only child. After spending two years in Mexico, I earned an A.A. in Political Science, and am now about to earn a B.A. in American Studies. When I'm not reading or hanging out with my friends, I enjoy listening to and singing with music. Also, I love basketball (at 6 foot 3, who wouldn't?!), although I'm not very good. My time away from home has taught me the importance of creating good habits, such as prayer and scripture study. I need all of the help I can get in my life, and God gives us these means to receive that help. If you need help, He is always there.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This helped me so much in my life. It was difficult for me to grow up being an only child, especially since many of my "Mormon" friends, and most of my cousins, came from large families. However, I have come to rely on the faith I've had for as long as I can remember that Christ will never leave us alone. My good friends also helped me to continue on the gospel path. I am very grateful that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will never leave us alone. As long as we do our very best they will always be there for us, no matter what problems we may have. I am grateful for the Book of Mormon and the many examples and lessons we can find inside. I know it came from our Heavenly Father to help us today, and that Joseph Smith translated it through God's power. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the prophet today and that he can guide us to where we need to go. The most important part of the gospel is Jesus Christ and all He has done for us. If we do our best to follow His example and His gospel, we will see positive changes in our lives. They love us and want the best for us, and they are just waiting for us to come back to them. It all begins with each of us, though.

How I live my faith

I try to do the small things in my life, such as helping those around me. I also share my talents. I love singing, so I frequently sing in choirs or with my friends. This is a great way to cheer other people up. I also do what I can to help my friends when they are down.
