Hi I'm Hillary

I'm a pre-pharmacy student, a soccer player, a hiker, a book lover, and most important...I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student majoring in Biology, with the desire to someday become a pharmacist. I am currently working in a research lab that focuses on improving diabetes. I love to be in nature and enjoy its simple beauties, such as stars, sunsets, rainbows, and flowers. I also love to play soccer, read, hike, travel, and have fun with friends and family. I love my life and the people in it!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been so blessed to be raised as a member of this church. I bear witness that I know this church is true. I have come to know that this is Jesus Christ's true church for myself by studying the Book of Mormon and earnest prayer. My life has been enhanced by the gospel! I feel happy because I know who I am and what God's plan for me is. I feel His love for me daily, and am comforted by the knowledge that I can always turn to Him and receive His help through whatever twists and turns life throws at me. The word, gospel, means "good news" in the Old English language. That is literally how I see the gospel of Jesus Christ. Even when it feels like everything is going wrong, I can always find "good news" to cheer me up through reading the scriptures and the words of our living prophet, going to church, and receiving personal revelation through prayer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to exemplify Christ and reaching out to others so they will be able to feel His love and want to come to know Him. I enjoy participating in service projects to make other people's lives happier. I volunteer once a week at a children's hospital, and also at a program that works with kids who have disabilities. It amazes me how strong a child's spirit can be, and I am constantly learning from them. I also love going to the temple. There is a special peace there that recharges me spiritually, and prepares me for anything that life might throw at me. I am committed to keep high standards and to follow the doctrine and gospel of Jesus Christ.
