Hi I'm Kelly

I am a single mother, a sister, a daughter and a friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have four wonderful children. My children and a full-time job keep me really busy. When I have free time, I love to read and watch movies. I aslo really love listening to music. Our family enjoys hiking, camping and spending time together. My oldest son is preparing to leave on a mission next year. It is an exciting and emotional time for our family as we prepare for him to leave to serve the Lord for two years.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but as an adult, had to find out for myself if it was true. I now have a very strong testimony of the gospel and the wonderful blessings that come from living the commandments. I am amazed constantly by the power of prayer and how making even little choices to live right can change our lives. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that through Him, we have the opportunity to live with our Heavenly Father again one day. I also know that Heavenly Father has provided a way for us to live with our families forever, and I am very thankful for that. I know that God knows and loves each and everyone of us. He is there for us, we just need to call on Him. I also have a firm testimony of the scriptures and know that they hold the answers to our questions and the teachings of the prophets of the Lord. My children and I have been through a lot these last few years. Our faith, family, friends and the gospel have helped us to become stronger through our trials. We love our Heavenly Father and enjoy serving and giving in whatever ways that we can. I can't imagine where we would be today without the knowledge we have through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Sometimes I struggle with the responsibility of taking all of my children to church alone. It strengthens my faith and testimony to see them growing in the gospel and see the wonderful people they are becoming. I am currently serving as the primary president in our ward and I love it. I love getting to know each of the wonderfully unique children and I love to hear their testimonies and hear how those testimonies help shape their lives. It touches my heart that, even at this tender age, they are making choices daily that are bringing them closer to our Heavenly Father.
