Hi I'm Kelly

I'm a mother. I taught second grade. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom of one, but it wasn't always that way. My husband and I married my last year of college. After graduation I began the new school year teaching second grade and I loved it! Half-way through the year my son was born and, after a short leave, I went back to work to finish the school year. Going back was the hardest thing I have ever done, but now I have the wonderful opportunity to stay at home wth my son! When I 'm not chasing after him, I love to read. It doesn't matter what, fiction, fantasy, mystery, I'll read it. I also enjoy playing the piano when I have a spare minute.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into the church. Growing up I never questioned what was I was taught. When I was about 12 years old I wanted a testimony of my own. I prayed and prayed, waiting for an answer, but none came. It wasn't until the fireside testimony meeting at Girl's Camp that I received my answer, but not in the way I was expecting. I had the impression, "What was I waiting for?" I already had a testimony. I knew Christ lived and the gospel was true. I had always known. I didn't need to seek for some miraculous moment of enlightenment. My testimony had come bit by bit over the years without me even realizing it. I continue to follow the gospel because I know that Christ lives and loves me and that His church is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving those around me. I always try to be kind to those I meet and help when and where I can. Ever since I turned eighteen I have served the children in Primary. I have taught children of all ages including three, nine, ten, eleven, and twelve year olds. I have also been the secretary and currently hold the best calling ever, Primary pianist. Each Sunday I have the opportunity to share my testimony through music to the heartfelt singing of the children.
