Hi I'm Angela Rose

Born & raised in Wisconsin. Working towards a degree in Special Education. I just married my best friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with my mother and father and five siblings. While I was in high school I loved volunteering in the Special Education room. Autism is extremely fascinating to me. My junior year of high school was when I decided I wanted to go into Special Education. I am now a junior in college working towards that degree. Throughout the past few years I have done ABA therapy with young children that have been diagnosed under the Autism Spectrum Disorder. I was recently married and sealed to the man of my dreams. He is amazing at skiing but I enjoy snowboarding. We both enjoy dreaming about having our own family someday.

Why I am a Mormon

The word convert is used quite often and it usually refers to people that joined The Church of Jesus Christ but were not raised in it. In my opinion, we are all converts. We all have those moments in our lives when we begin to figure out where happiness comes from. We seek out to understand God's plan for us. Where should we be? What's the right thing to do? Who's example should we be following? I have been a mormon all of my life, but I was converted when I was 19 years old. While I was growing up I tried to always do the opposite of what my parents told me to do. I thought they were trying to make me miserable. I thought, "I know how to have a good time so why can't I make my own rules?!" When I was 19 years old I moved to Utah and realized that there was a hole in my life that couldn't be filled with drugs and alcohol. The things that I thought would bring me happiness only brought me sorrow and guilt. Once in Utah I was placed with the bestest of best roommates ever. I began to watch her example and I observed how happy she was. Truly happy. I tried to be just like her. I wanted to do the things that she was doing so that I could be happy too. I would read my scriptures, pray often, attend church and serve those around me. Over time I realized that we were both following Christ's example. I know that when we follow our Father's commandments we will find the most peace and joy in our lives. I remember waking up every morning and saying to my roommate, "I can't believe how happy I am." When we strive to follow Christ's path...step by step...we are completely content with life. He takes away the worries, the sorrows and the pain. All that we will feel is peace and love. His peace and His love. My heart and beliefs were converted when I was 19 years old. I know that through the Gospel of Jesus Christ we can find pure happiness. Pure happiness in this life and for all eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday. I attend the three hour service each Sunday with an open heart, ready to learn. I also visit some of the other ladies at church throughout the month. I do this in order to create lasting friendships. I also do it to share my testimony of the gospel with them. While visiting them each month I am sure that they are doing well physically and emotionally. There are women in the church that visit me every month to do the same thing. This is called visiting teaching. By doing this it creates a grand sisterhood that connects the women all throughout the world.
