Hi I'm Stacy

I'm a wife, mother, grandmother, life long learner, passionate about politics and world events and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 6 children ranging in age from 25-3. Grandmother of 1. I am a stay-at home mom because I know the importance of the influence I have on my family and I love them! I am fortunate to be married to a man who provides for our family and makes it possible for me to be home and be there for my children every day. I love to travel with my family and make memories. I have a goal of returning to school one day to finish my degree. I also have a license in Cosmetology. I am passionate about politics and love to keep current on world events. I am also passionate about my faith and love for my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. However, I knew that I had to be converted to the church on my own as I got older and not rely on my parents testimony. My parents were/are faithful members and wonderful examples to me in my life. They taught me by word and example how to live a Christian life, to try to emulate the Savior and about the atonement of Jesus Christ. I am forever grateful to them and know I am blessed to have such a wonderful eternal family. My personal conversion story took years to evolve. After years, due to poor choices, of being in an abusive relationship and the untimely death of my brother I knew I was not living the life I was meant to live. My ex-husband was not a member of the church I had grown up in and I hadn't been active in the church while we were married. However, I knew from my upbringing that I mattered to my Heavenly Father and I needed to pray at that particular time to ask Heavenly Father to guide and direct me in my life. I asked my Heavenly Father, "Will my son grow up to treat his wife this way, or, will my daughter seek out a man to marry that treats her like this?" From that moment on, after seeking advice and counsel from my good parents, I was able to remove myself and my children from an abusive situation. At that time I prayed fervently for the Lord to help guide me through this difficult situation in my life. I started reading my scriptures again, praying daily, I went back to church and was welcomed with open loving arms. I regained a testimony of what I knew was true my whole life. I got to know the Savior personally and knew that I mattered to Him, that he died for me personally and knew me and all my pain, hurts, as well as taking my sins and making me clean, whole and spotless. I know I belong to His true church that has been restored to the earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday, being involved, and willing to serve. I serve at church as a primary teacher to 6 year olds. I love to feel of their little spirits every Sunday. I also serve in our women's auxlliary (Relief Society) as a Visiting Teacher. A Visiting Teacher has several women in the congregation (ward) to visit in their home each month and share a gospel message. These sisters are your stewardship if they need any help or service. I try very hard to keep the commandments and be an example to let people know I am a disciple of Christ. Most importantly I try to be an example to my family by serving others, having weekly Family Home Evening on Monday nights, daily family scripture study and daily family prayer. Family Home Evening is an opportunity to have a weekly gospel lesson with your family. Family Home Evening is a way to teach your children in your home weekly with prayer and a song and time to spend and bond as a family. The gospel brings me and my family such joy we want to share it with everyone!

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes, I truly believe we have a living prophet on the earth today. If you read the Bible, throughout time God has had prophets on the Earth. I believe there is no period of time more important than the time we are living today that we need God in our lives and a prophet on the Earth. I don't believe God would leave us to figure out how to navigate this crazy world without a living prophet who guides and directs His church. I believe God loves us as much as He loves those who lived in biblical times, He is a fair and just God, so it just makes sense that it would be the same at this time in the history of the world that there would be a living prophet on the Earth. I believe Thomas S. Monson has been called to be the prophet today and you can know for yourself through sincere prayer and confirmation of the Holy Spirit if this is true. Show more Show less
