Hi I'm Jenifer

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay-at-home mom of three great and VERY energetic kids. I always wanted to stay home once I had kids but found the transition from a corporate world to motherhood a little challenging. Now I am so grateful I made that choice and although some days are challenging I would much rather be home making chocolate chip cookies for my kids, being there for my kids, being a better mom to my kids each day. I love the outdoors! Almost daily you can find us out for a walk enjoying all that is around. Skiing was a fun sport for me; now I have found it is too hard on my knees and I'm kind of a chicken. Control, control can be an issue for me. My husband has been very patient with me as I learn to let loose of control. I have the best husband I could ever even imagine! He is fun, serious, goofy and GREAT. I love to read, not just anything, but anything that can help me improve who I am becoming, my family, my relationships. Taking pictures is a must for me. They capture memories. I guess that is one of my favorite hobbies...making memories. I love memories, I love making memories, I love my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a large family. I have 5 sisters (4 living) and 6 brothers. Growing up was fun, chaotic, and about our family and faith. My parents set a great example for us is staying strong and consistant. How easy it would have been to give up on some values and teaching morals with so much going on. There was a brief time in my life where my decisions and actions were not reflective of my beliefs. At one point I finally had the courage to make the changes neccessary to start down the path that my Heavenly Father wanted and needed me to go down. What a blessing that was. Although making the changes, dealing with the emotions, making things right with my Savior, Jesus Christ, were challenging my ultimate goals were so much sweeter than the choices I had been making. Now years later I have stayed true to MY beliefs, the truths that the gospel of Jesus Christ gives to us, and the blessings have been endless. I have peace in my heart knowing that I am living the best that I can. I have an amazing husband, a man bigger than my dreams could ever go, three crazy kids, incredible exteded family, and the ability to face the challenges that life brings. Life has challenges and mine is no exception. Through my faith in Jesus Christ, the opportunity to repent, and the love that I know He has for me and for my family I know I can make it through this life and the challenges that will surely come my way.

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? My faith is my life, it is woven into my being. I am definately not even close to being perfect but my faith is what helps me make each decision. Through my example I hope that those I come in conatact with know that I believe in Christ. The other day a lady was in my home and was looking at a picture I have of Jesus Christ holding a small boy. After looking at the picture she turned to me and asked if we "did" Christmas. It made me smile, of course we celebrate Christmas! Jesus Christ is the center of our faith! It amazes me how few people know that. Right now I have the opportunity to teach in the 7 and 8 year olds. They are so fun and excited about life. I love that excitement! We participate in community service projects as well. I believe it is important for my kids to understand and appreciate giving acts of service. How do I live my faith?...I hope it can be seen in my home, in my marrieage, in my children, in my actions, in who I am striving to become.
