Hi I'm Jenny

I'm a wife, a new mother, a nurse, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah but moved to the Denver area a few years ago for my husband to go to medical school. I am a registered nurse and love serving those patients I get the opportunity to care for. My husband and I just had our first child and I am still adjusting to my new role as mother, although I am absolutely loving this new responsibility. I feel very fortunate to have our new son and love every minute I get to spend being with him. I love to hike and camp and go for walks around our neighborhood. I love being outside and reading. I like to cook, and although I don't enjoy cleaning so much, I like to have a clean house.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a mormon by my parents. I never doubted that this gospel was true, but I can remember one time when I was 18 years old and sincerely prayed to my Heavenly Father and asked him to let me know for myself that the gospel was true. I will never forget the feeling and joy I felt in response to that question. I love this gospel more than anything else in this world. I have been extremely blessed in my life and I can say that everything good in my life is a direct result from having this gospel. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and saw what he said he saw. I know the Book of Mormon and the Bible are true words of the Lord and that by living the principles taught in these books will make our earthly experiences 10 times better. I know that we have a living prophet today who can direct us and guide us in our daily decisions. Most importantly, I know that I am a child of God, who loves us so much and wants us to return to him someday. I strive every day to become the kind of woman he wants me to be so that I can return to him that day.

How I live my faith

I am very blessed to work with the youth in our church. I get to work with the young women ages 12-18. I get to help them work on projects and participate in activities which bring them closer to the Lord. Not only do I get the opportunity to teach them, but I am constantly being taught by them about how to be stronger and come closer to the Lord.
