Hi I'm Gina

I'm a military wife. I have 5 beautiful kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Like I said before, I am a military wife. My husband and I have lived in 7 different states during the past 21 years of our marriage. I love to travel and he promised me the world. We've been able to visit most of the United States with our military travels, and been able to visit some European countries. I have 5 children whose ages range from 9 to 19. My 19 year old son is serving a mission for my church in Argentina for the next 2 years. I have a bachelor of science in Health and work as a substitute teacher. When I have free time I love to go to the gym, read, ski and work on scrapbooks and other crafts.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I want to return to him some day, and I know that I can do this because he gave His life for me. Not only has He made it possible to live with Him and our Heavenly Father, but He makes it possible for me to be with my family forever also. This is important to me because although I said that I have a husband and 5 children, one of my children, a beautiful baby girl, died at birth. I know that through Heavenly Father's plan for us, I can be with my daughter and other loved ones again.

How I live my faith

The church is a big part of my life. I am the president of our women's organization. I help the other ladies in our church by making sure that our Sunday meetings are prepared so they can increase their own faith. I help organize a program where each of the women visit other women in our church to help take care of their needs. I also oversee a committee that plans a monthly activity where all the ladies come together to learn, serve and have fun together. The best part of being the president of this group is that I get to know, love, and help a lot of different women.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

My son is serving a mission in Rosario, Argentina. He prepared all of his life by learning and living the gospel so that when he turned 19 years old he would be ready to serve his mission. Besides preparing spiritually, Josh also worked hard mowing lawns, bagging groceries at the base commissary, lifeguarding, and working at a car wash. He saved enough money to pay for half of his mission and his father and I are paying for the other half. He will be gone for 2 years at which time he will return and finish college. It is a sacrifice for him to give up two years of his life, but he does it because he loves the gospel of Jesus Christ and wants to share it with others. Show more Show less
