Hi I'm Barbara

I'm a Mormon and live in Kerrville,Texas, but was born in Louisiana. I spend a lot of time on genealogy and help others do theirs.

About Me

I am retired, but worked for 40 years. And got a college degree (attending night school) at the age of 58, just before retiring! As for interests, I enjoy genealogy and sewing--mostly quilts and other crafts.

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony of Jesus Christ is strong. When I was 20, I met the missionaries; took the discussions several times and was baptized. It has been a process, line upon line, to learn the Gospel, and I believe it is a lifetime process--you never stop learning. I am very thankful for the Gospel in my life and can't imagine life without it. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a way of life, 24/7, not just a Sunday thing. When you know the Gospel and what the commandments and committments are, it is much easier to make decisions.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good example to my family, friends, and neighbors. I volunteer in the community once a week at a free clinic run by another church organization. Am also a member of a community sewing circle. In the church I am a Visiting Teacher and a Family History Consultant. Life is Good!
