Hi I'm Katie

I am shy, but not afraid to stand up for what I believe in. I grew up in Idaho and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a mother of 5 young children who tremendously bless my life. I find great joy in taking care of Gods precious children. I enjoy helping others. I spent most of my childhood volunteering at a nursing home and babysitting. I also helped take care of my father in law who died from ALS(Lou Gehrig's disease) I love serving others. I am currently taking on-line college classes to get a degree in something, but my main focus is taking care of my family. I love to play the piano. I took piano lessons during my childhood, and I am now the primary pianist at church. I have been blessed with many talents that I love to share with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS church. I went to church because my family was going and it was just what we did on Sundays. My father did not go with us most of the time and so my mother would take my 2 sisters, and my brother and I to church by herself. I admire her for her sacrifice to make sure that we made it to church every Sunday. I went to different churches when I visited my relatives and I enjoyed going and appreciated them for taking me to their church. I was able to attend many different churches and by doing so I was able to develop a testimony of my own that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the church for me. It is the most complete religion for me. I can be with my family forever. Since my family is so important to me, this brings great joy to me to know that because I have been sealed for all time and eternity in the Holy Temple of the Lord, to my eternal companion, I can be with my family forever. It isn't just until death do we part. It is forever! Eternal! That brings me great comfort and peace!

How I live my faith

I try to be a strong leader in my home. I also try my best to do what is asked of me in my ward. I currently am the primary pianist. I have served in the primary for 12 years as a teacher, pianist and secretary to the primary president. I love every minute that I get to spend with the children. I also am a visiting teacher. I visit a few sisters in my ward regularly and provide service to them when needed. I am always looking for ways that I can help others. As Charity is the pure love of Christ.
