Hi I'm Daniel

I am a high school graduate with a love of music, and the gospel and I am serving a mission in Kiev, Ukraine. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and a friend and I have lived in the same house all of my life and I was also born into the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints. My family and I are very active and firm in our faith and enjoy being Latter Day Saints. I am the youngest of five other siblings and likewise I am also the youngest or at least one of youngest students in my grade. I have three married sisters and each of my brother-in-laws are amazing examples to me. Because of their strong example and my own conviction I decided to go on a mission and I am serving in the amazing country of Ukraine and I am learning Russian. I have a strong passion for music and have been in my schools Concert Choir since 10th grade. My favorite music includes Coldplay and Imgaine Dragons, but if I had to choose between the two it would undoubtedly be Coldplay. I am also trying to teach myself to play the piano. Before my mission I would, at least once a week or every other week, bake Chocolate Chip Cookies for my friends and family and only Chocolate Chip Cookies. Well at least most of the time, but I usually only bake Chocolate Chip Cookies. One of my favorite t.v. shows is Psych. In high school I have participated on the Cross Country and Track teams and with that I love to hike and climb mountains especially with my brother-in-laws and also my friends. I am proud to be the first Eagle Scout in my family and to have the opportunity to serve in Kiev, Ukraine.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints. After reading the Book of Mormon and through committing myself to living the standards of the church I was able to gain my own personal testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ, this Church, and that Joseph Smith was a Prophet who translated the Book of Mormon. To be a Mormon to me means that I not only live the standards of the Church and the Savior, but it also means I have that precious testimony and because of that I have been greatly blessed. I have a loving family including my brother-in-laws who have been examples and practically heroes for me. I loved going to seminary every morning to learn more about the Bible and The Book of Mormon and I especially loved to see the faces of my friends who also sacrificed their sleep and time in order to go to seminary. Seminary takes a huge part in me having a testimony even though my testimony may not be that strong or the best. I am especially grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and his sacrifice so that we could have the gift of the atonement and I know that through my faith in Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father that I will be able to have everlasting happiness with my family now and my family in the future so long as I stay true to its values and moral standards.

How I live my faith

I have sacrificed time with family, growing my musical talent, baking cookies, entertainment, and so much more so that I can server the Lord my God by serving the people of Ukraine and helping them to gain a testimony of their Savior Jesus Christ. I am more than willing to give two years all to the Lord so that I can be instrument in his hands for bringing about his righteous purposes and also helping others to have the same joy I have through the Gospel. To me there is no greater honor or pleasure than to devote my time than being a servant for my Savior Jesus Christ through laboring in his vineyard.
