Hi I'm Jenny

I'm a wife and a mother. I'm a novice runner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm not originally from Omaha, but it's slowly becoming my home. I love the changing seasons and the time I get to spend outside with my boys. I love spending time with my family at the zoo, at a baseball game, or at the park. I've taken up running and enjoy the new challenge that each run offers. I have a very dedicated husband who is busy with work and church duties. My most favorite thing to do is to spend time with him and our little boys.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family with faithful, dedicated parents who raised our family in the church. I have never known life without the church being a part of it. I am so grateful for the foundation that I have been given. Without the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I don't know who I would be. It is so much a part of who I am and how I live my life each day. Because of my membership in the church, I know without a doubt that I'm a daughter of a living Father in Heaven. I know that I will have a chance to live with Him again. And because of the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, I know I will be able to be with my family too. I know that God loves me and each of His children here on earth. As a loving parent would, God desires each and every one of His children to return to Him. I know that through the gospel, we can make our way back to Him. Even though I come from a Mormon home and was raised accordingly, I have the choice each day to live the gospel or not. I choose to because I love it, and I love the joy and peace that it brings in my life. I can't imagine my life without the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the church provides ample opportunities to serve and give of yourself. I have found that one of the greatest ways to find joy and gratification in life, is to serve others. There seems to always be a need for a meal or just friendship among those in the ward and neighborhood, and I love providing the service. I love that the church has provided an opportunity for me to visit other women in the ward who I might of never had the chance to get acquainted with otherwise. I get to visit these women on a monthly basis in order to not only share an uplifting message, but to also develop friendships. I have also served in various callings in the church throughout my life. I've loved teaching lessons among the youth and also to the women of my various wards. I currently get to spend time with the young children in nursery, teaching them the most basic truths of the gospel. I love children and I love that I get to serve in a calling that enables me to spend time with my youngest son. It's so fun to watch the children interact with each other; especially while they sing songs and do activities.
