Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to read and write, play video games and rent movies. Something that I'm very proud of is that I've been waking up at 6:30 AM to go running almost every day! There is nothing more fun to me than to write down creative stories I made up in my head. It's something that keeps the little girl inside of me alive and yet allows me to cope with the everyday challenges of being a grown-up. Currently I'm serving a mission and my outlook on life has changed dramatically. I realize that I need the Savior and His Atonement if I want to feel peace and happiness. I've grown closer to my Heavenly Father than I have in my entire life. He listens to all my complaints and gives me those tender mercies to get through the day. I feel like my life is going down the direction I wanted it to go, just like it says in the scripture, "For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whoseover will lose his life for my sake shall find it." --Matthew 16:25.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. My family has been Mormons for generations. But I know that it's crucial to have my own testimony because the testimony of other people will only sustain you for so long. There are a few crucial items that have helped me know that this church is true and they are: reading the Book of Mormon; serving others with a sincere heart; reading and pondering the message of the prophets; and my own personal revelation received through prayer. A testimony, or a conviction of what you know is true, doesn't stay static from day to day. It either increases or declines depending on the amount of energy you put into it. I'm a Mormon because every time I read the Book of Mormon I know that it's true and the Holy Ghost testifies into my heart that it is true. I would invite others to find out for themselves by reading this book and pondering in their hearts the message it contains, and then ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, if these things are not true. I know that those who do so with sincerity and faith, with a conviction to act upon the answer they receive, will come to know by the power of the Holy Ghost if this book is true (Moroni 10:3-5). This promise given by one of the prophets in the Book of Mormon has never failed me. And it wont fail anyone who are sincere seekers of the truth.

How I live my faith

I'm a missionary. I teach people about Jesus Christ all day. Teaching about Jesus is not what I imagined would bring me so much joy, but it has. I'd be lying if I say it wasn't.
