Hi I'm Muriel.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Muriel, and I am a Mormon. I currently work for a bank, but outside of my work life, I love to be around music and great food, and have adventures.. I love playing tennis, swimming, and being in the sunshine. I am a very happy, spontaneous girl, and do my best to say "yes" more often than "no" to things that help me enjoy life while at the same time still allowing me to grow closer to my Heavenly Father. Road trip to a concert? Yes. Random shopping spree with some friends? Yes. Teach myself the guitar? Yes. Star Wars marathon in a week? ABSOLUTELY! While my membership in the Mormon church means I choose to say "no" to a lot of things most girls my age say "yes" to, I make a habit of having adventures and making new friends so I can enjoy my life to the fullest, in as wholesome a manner as possible.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ brings a peace to my soul and a happiness to myself and those around me that I hope I never have to live without. This peace and happiness is directly related to the knowledge I have of my Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ and all they have done for me. I believe Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ know me personally, by name, and know my strengths and weaknesses and want me to return to live with them in the next life. I know Jesus Christ came to Earth to be the perfect example to the world and to atone for the sins and imperfections of the rest of us. Through His atonement we can repent and be made clean in order to return to live with him. I have felt the effects of the atonement in my own life, and am a happier person because of it. I believe Joseph Smith prayed to find the truth, and his answer resulted in the restoration of the complete gospel that Jesus Christ taught when he was on the Earth. I believe families can be together through eternity and are not just for our time on Earth. I have read the Book of Mormon, prayed to know if it is true, and Heavenly Father answered each of my prayers with a peaceful knowledge that it is true indeed. I am a Mormon because the things that I know regarding the gospel of Jesus Christ bless me with hope and happiness and help me to be a kinder, more loving person. I am far from perfect; none of us are... but through Jesus Christ and his gospel, we can all strive to be better and make choices which will have a positive influence on our own lives and of those around us.

How I live my faith

I try my best on a daily basis to be a positive example to the people around me. I attend church every Sunday, and at least one more church activity during the week. I pray to Heavenly Father daily and ask for guidance in my life, and he answers my prayers through a still, small voice when I read the scriptures or sing.
