Hi I'm Judy.

I’m a retired teacher, wife, mother of 6, and grandmother of 21. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I retired after 24 years of teaching. I lived in suburbia, raised our family, and then taught for 16 years in an inner city school in Arizona. Then I went back to school, got my PhD at age 57, and moved to Indiana, where I taught in a teacher education program. My husband and I bought a 90 year old home on an acre of land and enjoy big gardens and a rural lifestyle. We are working hard and living the life we always dreamed of.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church. The Book of Mormon is another witness of Jesus Christ. I sustain the President of the Church as a prophet, just as Noah and Moses were prophets in their day. I know that Jesus is the Son of God and that He set an example for us, suffered to atone for our sins, died, and was resurrected. I believe that one day He will return again to the earth. I know without a doubt that Heavenly Father is a personal God who loves all his children and answers our prayers because He answers mine.

How I live my faith

I pray and read the scriptures every day. On Sunday, I play the piano for the children's singing time. I visit sisters in the ward and see to their spiritual and temporal needs. Every day I look for opportunities to serve others. I try to follow the example of Jesus Christ.
