Hi I'm Allan

I was raised in Utah but now I live in the Northwest,I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been in the Air Force, operated heavy equipment, and driven semi trucks for 25 years. I am now retired. I like to do woodworking, welding and metalwork. I love to raise a garden and harvest the home grown food. I enjoy 4 wheeling with my sons and grandchildren. I like to walk with my wife and our dog

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Gospel gives me a firm footing in this uncertain world and troubled times. I love my family and know we can be a family forever. I am looking forward to seeing my loved ones again who have died. The Gospel helps me know why I am here on earth and what I need to do to be with my family again in the presence of Heavenly Father and the Savior. I am so thankful for the the Savior and his Atonement. The Book of Mormon helps me to understand what is going on in the world and why we are here. I know we have a living prophet today who guides us and receives revelation from God. I testify that God knows each of us by name and cares about us and will help us and bless us if we talk to him in prayer and listen through the scriptures. I love all around me and know they are my brothers and sisters, children of our Heavenly Father

How I live my faith

I have taught gospel classes to the youth on a dailey basis before school. I have worked with the youth in Scouting. We have had super activities such as biking on the coast and river rafting. I am working now with the men in the church to help them to be good husbands and fathers and attend to their duties and be good citizens. We do service projects helping folks in the community to repair and paint their houses. We helped out when an area in our state was flooded. We cleaned mud and ruined housewares and helped these people have hope. I visit eight families in the church monthly to check on them and give help where I can. Four of these are widows. One uses propane to heat with and my son and I take her cylinders and get them refilled. We helped another to find why her well wasn't working. On the aniversary of 9-11 our members cleaned the planter areas around a local junior high

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Each of us make mistakes and have to start over. The Atonement of the Savior made it possible for us to be forgiven of these mistakes if we repent of them. Repentance brings us peace and true happiness. As we repent and strive to do better it brings us closer to our family and others around us and makes the world a better place. Show more Show less
