Hi I'm David

I'm a Mormon. Raised in Sacramento. Married father of 4. Businessman, ASU waterski team coach and Singles Ward Bishopric.

About Me

I am a happily married father of 4. I love water skiing, playing guitar and singing rock and roll. I enjoy being in business with my oldest son. I love working with the Young Single Adults in the church. I grew up in California and played in a rock band for 4 years before serving a mission to South America. The thing that is most important to me is my family, my children and grandchildren. I firmly believe that families can and should be together for the eternities. I love the gospel and the positive influence it has had for me and my family through the years. I am a avid sports fan. Love to read a good novel, if I ever get the time. And I really love to travel with my wife.

Why I am a Mormon

My father was born a Mormon. My mother was born a Catholic. When I was 10 my family began attending the Mormon Church. In high school I formed a rock and roll band and at 19 I was heading in a perilous direction that is associated with being a popular rock and roll musician. I wasn't happy with the way my life was going so I decided to put the Book of Mormon challenge to task. I began reading it and then one night in November I actually asked God if it was true. An answer came to me through the spirit that it indeed was true and that I was living the life of a "natural man, an enemy to God" as described by one of the Book of Mormon prophets, Mosiah. I didn't want to be God's enemy. In fact I wanted to be an ally, His friend, an asset for Him to use. It was at that time I decided to serve a mission and subsequently was called to a mission in South America. The experienced changed my life for positive in a big way. I am a Mormon because I believe by following its' precepts and participating in the saving ordinances I can achieve eternal exhaltation with my family, if as individuals we all endure to the end. Being a Mormon brings me happiness, a purpose and sets me and my family in the right direction. Being a Mormon brings me personal peace and contentment.

How I live my faith

For the most part throughout my married life I have worked with the youth of the church as an advisor/mentor. I love the youth. I now serve as an counselor to the Young Single Adults that attend the nearby university. While my service is needed, I am the one that receives the greatest blessings by serving the youth. It keeps me young, active and most importantly increases my conviction of the gospel and testimony. I strive to be a good husband, father, grandfather, member of the community and an honest businessman. Living the gospel has helped me achieve these accomplishments.
