Hi I'm Jon

I grew up in Provo, Utah. I love sports, I love music, and I love Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah County, Utah. I have a great family that I love very much. I like to play, watch, and follow sports. My favorite sports are baseball, football, and basketball, but I really enjoy any sport out there! I also love music, specifically jazz, rock, and classical. I have played trombone for 10 years, and piano for 3 years. I went to one year of college (so far) in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am currently serving a mission for the Church in the California Carlsbad Mission. When I return home, I plan to continue in my faith, and study at college, and eventually become a sports writer. I really enjoy learning, laughing, and having a great time with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

My family are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and so I was born in the Church. That has been a great blessing throughout my life. I have been blessed with the opportunity to know about God's plan for all of us. He sent his Son into the world to make it possible for all of us to live with God again in our families, and have many wonderful opportunities there. While being on a mission, I've had a marvelous privilege of sharing this message with people in California. I have been there while God helps people change their lives and come close to Him. The truth makes one so happy. It makes me happy. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true, and to me, it is the greatest news in the world.

How I live my faith

When I was going to college, I helped organize weekly activities for fellow students to help us all grow in friendships and knowledge of Jesus Christ. It was fun to be able to come up with creative, fun activities to make memories and bond the group together. Currently, I am serving a full-time mission in California for 24 months. I am about halfway through. That involves studying the scriptures every morning, and going out from morning until night every day, and do what I can spreading the message we have about Jesus Christ. We (there are two of us together at any given time) do that by talking to people we meet on the streets, and sitting down in people's homes to help them understand further God's plan for their families. It has been quite a privilege and an honor.
