Hi I'm Briana

I'm an independent "one of the guys" girl. Frisbee is my life. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a longboarding, picture-taking, frisbee-playing athlete/ college student. I'm a nomad. I've moved at least 13 times. I'm going to school to study Radiation Safety and become a Nuclear Health Physicist. I'm the second oldest of 4 children. 3 boys and Me. :] I'm the independent girl who's one of the guys. And I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

Because It's True. To me it isnt just a religion, its a lifestyle. Even if at the end it was all one big hoax, I would be ultimately satisfied with my earthly existence. The principles taught on the mastery of light and love fill me with self-worth and satisfaction that I know (as if something deeper than me tells me) that it's true. Because my earthly father isn't a Mormon. And the division in our family is both a blessing and a curse. Having both lifestyles laid out before me grounded me to the possibilities of a life with or without the church. As well as the contention that comes from two different lifestyles under one roof. And gives me a sweet appreciation for the priesthood in my life. I know families are meant to be forever. Because my family means everything to me, and even now being away from them studying at college I pray for my little brothers everyday. I feel as though I am missing them grow up and that I should be there. Because that's what its about meeting all your loved ones at the finish line and rejoicing. We are all in this together. I have felt the love of my savior and father in heaven. A Perfect Love. I have felt that he understands me and knows me independent from all things on this earth. And I know i am not perfect and have known what it is like to sin and be in the dark searching for the light. And so I continually search for that light to be a constant in my life. I am, by no means, a scriptorian. I can't spew out scriptures at a moments notice, but i know that these feelings I have felt are those that are undeniable and trust able. I'm all about gospel real talk :]

How I live my faith

I live my faith in everything I do. Light and love like this has a tendency to stick out on its own anyway :] I am simply myself.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Its all about being in control of your body. I played a lot of sports and those athletes who did all the little things like eating healthier, cutting back on things like soda, and got enough sleep performed at their best. And that is all our father in heaven is asking of us. To be in control. So for me as an athlete it is always easy. Its about balance. You want to be fully aware and capable of every moment of your life. Life is hard as it is. That's why a beautiful sculpted body in shape and tones is so appealing to the body. It is a work of art. And so are you. Show more Show less
