Hi I'm Jason

Im a “Blue Personality,” and a liberty loving American! A B.Y.U football fanatic, a Carlsbad Missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints for my whole life. In elementary I was a rather outgoing child, with lots of energy. I'm thankful for my parents for putting up with me! In Jr. High, I became involved in music, and played in the percussion section of my schools symphonic band. I was at this time, also very involved in Scouting. I have a great love of the outdoors. I love rock climbing and repelling. And enjoyed doing many of these things with my loving Father. In my scouting career, I achieved the rank of eagle scout; my experiences that lead me to that accomplishment will always be near to my heart. During my High school days, my interests turned towards politics and Philosophy. I joined the debate team, served as captain, and developed many skills that help me in my life today. I served as a reporter for my High School newspaper, which led me to a love of writing—expecally when it involves writing about my ‘many’ opinionated ideas. . . After I graduated, I went straight to the work place. I worked for a Truck Rental company called, “Rugged Rental.” There I detailed cars with many guys my age, all of whom were return missionaries. It was a Job I was very grateful for. I also continued working at my high School job, Chick-fil-A which taught me a lot about business, life, and hard work! I love life, people, politics, and my family! I expect great things from life, and hope I can put forth the necessary effort required to enjoy it.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that I have found the True Church of God! I know that Jesus is my Savior and without him, I can not be redeemed. I know that he lived a perfect life and suffered all things so that we can be made clean through his atoning sacrifice! I know that he died for us, and that was resurrected. And that he lives today! As I’ve lived and studied my faith I've come to a knowledge that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints is not only a logical or a ‘good church’, but it is the Church of God, and contains the fullness of Christs Gospel. My faith has brought me more happiness than anything else in my life. I have engaged in the steps that are necessary in order to come to a knowledge concerning the truthfulness of this church. I have prayed and asked my Heavenly Father if it is true. I have received a witness by the power of the Holy ghost that it is! I know this Church is true, I am reminded of it daily as I see and feel my life being influenced by the power and love of Christ. As I study the scriptures (the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Convents, and the Pearl of Great Price) I have felt that same spirit touch my heart and mind that it is true. I feel that same spirit as I listen to our Modern day Apostles and Prophet. I do not feel that spirit, or the love of Christ as I do things that are not in line with the teachings of this Gospel. I have lived the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and learned for my self the Truthfulness of this, his church. I urge all who read this to do the same.

How I live my faith

Christ has said, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” With this knowledge, I understand that I am under a special obligation to seek to do the will of my Father in Heaven. I’ve learned that God as given us tools to guide us, and to help us to discover his will. I try and study the scriptures he as provided for us to learn from and to listen to and obey his servants, the Prophets. Heavenly Father has also provided us a perfect example to learn from. His son Jesus Christ. We best follow Gods will when we follow the example of Jesus Christ. In my life I have sought to follow his example, by making sacred convents with my Heavenly Father, just has Jesus did I have entered into the waters of baptism and have been baptized by one holding the holy priesthood. I have had hands laid upon my head, by those having authority, and have received the gift of the Holy Ghost. Which has been a companion to me in the more trying times of my life. I have had hands laid upon my head, and I have received that same Priesthood authority that Christ gave to his apostles. I have entered into God’s Holy Temple and made promises with him to always obey his commandments. And I am now trying to endure to the end, to do his will at all times, and to live as one that has promised to bear the Name of Christ. I seek to have charity towards my fellow men. I try and be an example of one who has chosen to follow Christ. I am now serving as a Missionary for God. I seek to take this message and teach it to all of Gods Children! For all of this, I have received invaluable blessings, and immeasurable happiness. I can feel the Love my Heavenly Father has for me. Because I have chosen to try my best to obey his will. I invite all to do the same.
