Hi I'm Amy

I grew up in Mesa, Arizona. I am a mother of three young children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I fell in love with my sweetheart at age 19 and have been happily married for 13 years. My husband is the love of my life. I am living my dream. I stay home with my 3 young children and enjoy the crazy life of motherhood. I went to school to be a dental hygienist and get to clean people's teeth once in a while. It is my small escape from the crazy life of motherhood. I love to read, run, and travel. I also enjoy trying my feeble attempts at cooking and trying new recipes. I love life, life is beautiful. I am greatful for every day, every morning, every sunset, every breath.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was 8 years old. I remember that was a special day. I was the youngest of four children, all active members of the church, including our parents. I am greatful for each of their examples to me of living their lives by following the Savior. I have chosen to be a Mormon and raise my own children in Christ's church because of the peace it brings to my life. I have the knowledge that the Savior lives, He came to earth, and atoned for each of us. He died and was resurrected, and we will be resurrected too. Families are an eternal unit and can be together after death for all eternity. This knowledge has brought me comfort and peace throughout my life. I know that God still speaks to us today through living Prophets. I cherish President Monson's words and choose to follow his counsel with all of my heart. I know God lives and He loves each of us. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love life and and consider it a gift from God. I try to live what I believe and what I have been taught all of my life. I try to do the right thing at the right time, without delay. This means I follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost and serve those in need. Sometimes the name of a friend pops into my head and I know they are having a hard week, and I need to help her with kids, or bring dinner over, or make a phone call. I know that God's laws are constant and non-negotiable. This means, that there are consequences to all of my actions. I chose to follow God's commandments so that I can receive His blessings and live a life free of addiction and bondage. I live my faith by reading the scriptures every day. They are pure truth and through the scriptures and prayer, I communicate with my Heavenly Father. My favorite time of day is the very few quiet minutes in the morning or afternoon when the kids are sleeping and I feel my Heavenly Father's love when he leaves impressions on my mind on how he wants me to live and changes He want me to make in my life. These times happen when I am praying and reading my scriptures. I love my children. They are a gift from my Heavenly Father and I try every day to treat them like He would. I try to teach them like He would. I want them to know how much He loves them.
