Hi I'm Rick Sandoz

I live on a small farm in North Georgia where I raise Horses, Guinea Fowl, and chickens.I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Somehow, I never liked school. So naturally, I became a teacher. I taught middle school and high school for 30 years in Arizona. I did my best. But in some ways, I feel like I did 30 years of stand-up comedy! Along the way one of my daughters began riding horses. Now I knew nothing about horses. But after 18 years of helping her "cowgirl up" I find myself fully enjoying these beautiful beasts. Now I live in Dahlonega, GA and have six horses and many other animals as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I was dating a girl who invited me to meet the missionaries. I did NOT want to join The Church. But I did as the missionaries told me. I read and I prayed often. When I got my answer, I knew it. I could not deny it. I was immediately baptized. I have continued to learn and now after many years I can honestly say that I love the Lord and love The Church. I am, and will always be grateful to that kind sister who invited me to learn more.

How I live my faith

I am active in my ward and I try to serve diligently in my calling. I also serve on the Alliance of Churches in our ward area. I love to talk about The Church whenever the opportunity presents itself. I do my best to maintain a healthy and robust relationship with our Full-Time Missionaries and our Ward Missionaries.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Rick Sandoz
This question cuts directly to the heart of the need for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in modern times. We baptize out new members as a priesthood ordinance performed by one holding the proper priesthood authority to do so. Priesthood authority comes directly from Jesus Christ. It is extremely important to me that I have my priesthood line of authority in my posession and can trace it through worthy priesthood holders directly to the Savior himself. Show more Show less
