Hi I'm Kenni Wilcox

I am a stay at home mom with seven children. I home school and I love being outdoors. I love life! I am a Mormon!

About Me

I have been married for over 20 years and I love it. I have seven children ages 4- 20. I have a daughter who is serving a mission for the church in the Eastern United States. I have a son preparing to serve a mission. I served a mission of the Mormon Church in New Jersey. I love educating three of my children at home. History is one of our favorite subjects. I was raised in Canada and now live in Utah. I love the Oregon Coast. I also like to hike and being out doors. I attended college for several years and studied American Sign Language, Business management, and Education. My family is very important to me. I come from a family of twelve children, my husband comes from a family of eight children and we have over 80 nieces and nephews.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the 1830's. The teachings of the gospel have been taught from generation to generation. I continue to teach my children these same truths; Not because of tradition, but like those who have gone before me, I have learned for myself that the gospel of Jesus Christ was restored by means of revelation. Joseph Smith, in his search for knowledge, prayed, and was given a vision. He saw Jesus Christ and God the Father. Because of this vision, Joseph was able to be the means to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ. How grateful I am for this knowledge. The world no longer needs to be in darkness, but can have the light and glory and blessings of personal revelation. We have a living prophet, like unto the prophets of old. He teaches, warns, and inspires me. He testifies of the Savior Jesus Christ. I have listened to the words of the prophets and the holy spirit has witnessed to me through feelings of peace and joy that they are true. I have studied the words of the Book of Mormon, along with the Holy Bible. I have received the same feelings of peace. The Book of Mormon is true. The testimonies and the teachings found there are a companionship of those found in the Bible. There is so much peace and reassurance and love that comes from being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Do your problems suddenly disappear? No, but you can have help and assurance that you can make it through your challenges. You will find the answers you need in the scriptures. I know this because I have. I love the savior Jesus Christ with all my heart. I know God lives. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Jesus Christ is the center of my life. Jesus Christ is the Center of the Church. I love being involved in serving other people. I am the president of the women's organization. Within the organization we monthly meetings that give us opportunities to learn and serve and develop new talents and interests. We recently had a dinner and a guest speaker who taught us about strengthen our families and marriages. We have many opportunities to serve others in our neighborhood monthly. It is very satisfying. Since my family is very important I am glad that I can raise my children with the values and standards that the Lord has taught. We pray together, we have a Family Home Evening, where we sing, have lessons and gospel centered discussions. We study the scriptures as a family. It is such a comfort to have direction in my life because of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I live my faith everyday. The gospel is a part of me and a part of my family. I am who I am because of being a Mormon.
