Hi I'm Tim Johansen

I'm a husband to the most wonderful woman in the world, a father to three great kids, grandfather of seven, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As to my hobbies, I love the outdoors. I love to run on the trails by my home and compete in ultra-marathon races. In my career, I work at a nuclear power plant where I teach the plant operators how to operate the plant in a control room simulator.

Why I am a Mormon

Like many other Mormons, I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since I was a child. But there is more to it than that. I am still a Mormon because I have a personal testimony of Jesus Christ, and that he re-established his church upon the earth and that he called prophets to lead the people. I believe that the Lord has a plan for everyone born on the Earth, including me. Through the Holy Spirit, He stands ready to guide me in the path I should travel. I receive great comfort knowing that He will guide me in my decisions in life, and that I don't have to make them on my own.

How I live my faith

I serve in my local congregation wherever the Lord asks. In the past, I have worked extensively with the youth, including many years as a Scoutmaster. That was the greatest job ever, as I was able to witness the transformation of lovable but often immature boys into fine young men and leaders. I continue to study the words of Christ and strengthen my own knowledge and testimony of the Gospel. In everything I do, I seek to know the Lord's will for me, and follow that path as best I can.
