Hi I'm Teralyn

I'm an aspiring novelist and a wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married for five years to my wonderful husband. My goal in life is to be a novelist. I've finished a historical fiction about the Vestal Virgins (priestesses in Ancient Rome), which I'm going to send to agents soon. I love to play roller derby; my derby name is Cleofracture. I also love the arts; dance, music, painting, you name it. Even if I can't do it, I love that it exists for me to enjoy. Being a member of the LDS church is an important part of my life and I wouldn't be me without it.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of this church because I know it to be true. I know God will always provide prophets and modern revelation because we need his guidance. I know the importance of families and I fervently appreciate the church's guidance in how to be with our loved ones. Every time I go in the temple, I can feel in my core what a special place it is and I know the Spirit of the Lord is there. Most important, I know Jesus is the Christ and my Savior. When I learn of him, I feel the familiar spirit I was taught about in Sunday school, the one that assures me I've heard of all this before.

How I live my faith

I'm the president of the youth organization in my branch, which has one girl in it. It's a rewarding calling... it teaches me the value of just one soul and how important we are even as individuals, not just as a group. I also substitute teach Sunday school on occasion, which is one of my favorite callings.
