Hi I'm Grant

I'm a full time student. I'm an amateur soccer player. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time student majoring in Biochemistry. I work part time for a Dental Software company where I answer technical support calls from owners of the software. I spend most of my time either at school or work. When I have the chance to have some fun I enjoy hanging out with my friends, playing video games, watching TV, and especially playing soccer. I also enjoy snowboarding and pretty much any other sport I get the chance to play. I love music, though I am very picky with what I listen to.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon for one reason, and that is that I have received a confirming witness from God that Jesus Christ is my Savior, that God has a plan for me, and that His church with the proper authority has been restored on the earth today. Having been raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, these things were always something that I believed. As I have grown up, and even more each day, I realize that a mere belief in what others tell me is not enough. I need to have a knowledge of these truths for myself if I am going to try and live the life of a Mormon. This confirming witness has come to me over time as I have studied and prayed over the scriptures, both the Bible and the Book of Mormon, as well as words of modern and living prophets. In addition to study and prayer I have always done my best to try and live the life that I was taught God wanted for me. My testimony hasn't come all at once, and I don't think it does for many people. My testimony has grown through a gradual process. A process that has involved a lot of questions, and a lot of decisions. Some of these decisions have been mistakes and with those mistakes has come repentance, or asking forgiveness from God. As I have often gone through this process of seeking this forgiveness I have been able to draw closer to God, my Father in heaven. This relationship with my Father has helped me to have feel his love and feel his spirit in my life. It is through the Spirit that I have receive the confirming witness of the truths restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. Truths taught today in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I have been given many opportunites to serve in the Lord's church. Currently I have the opportunity to serve in the presidency of the mens group in a congregation of young single adults. In this position my job is to serve not only the men but that women in the congregation and to help coordinate visits that make sure everyone is taken care of. I also get to make some of these visits myself. I have also taught Sunday school as well has holding several other positions in the church. Living my faith goes beyond my responsiblities for my assignments. It means always trying to do what i know to be right.
