Hi I'm Todd

I grew up in Washington USA, served a mission in Kentucky, married my sweetheart, have a house full of daughters and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After graduating from High school I served in the then Kentucky-Louisville mission. I married in the Seattle temple 3 months after I returned home to my sweetheart I met at a youth conference after high school graduation. She waited for me even though she had many suitors asking for her hand which made me feel blessed. We spent 4 years in the U.S. Air Force where I was a electronics technician. We were blessed with our first daughter in these years and had two more after our return to my hometown. I have worked for the past twenty years in Construction as a heavy equipment operator and have owned my own business for the past 3 1/2 years. I have enjoyed participating in sports of all kinds and have played and coached a mens softball team. I consider myself adventurous, as I will likely try most things whether for work or play but as age creeps up, well not so much. I have enjoyed wood working, car restoration, hiking, and recently vacationing in Hawaii which my wife and I love and hope to some day retire their.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the church. I can say that even though my family joined the church and I happen to have been 8 years old at the time. I was baptized in a ward in southern California and shortly after we moved to Port Angeles where I was raised in the church. having served a mission and being sealed for time and all eternity to my wife in the Seattle temple were a couple of the most spiritual experiences that I have had in my life. It has not though, always been with out trials. We have had a portion of our marriage where we were inactive members. Through this time the lord still watched over us and blessed us in many ways but without the continual guidance of the Holy Ghost we and our children were missing alot. For the past ten + years we have been, once again, active in following the teachings of our savior and it has made a great impact in our lives. I have learned through the years that my Heavenly Father loves me unconditionally. Even though I have made mistakes and at times turned my back towards him he has always been there for me to guide me down the paths that bring my family and I true happiness. The lord has provided for me and you, a prophet to lead and guide us. What a blessing this is in my life. As I heed the prophets divinely directed guidance I keep myself in tune with the direction the lord wants me to be following and I am greatly blessed and happier for it. I know that my savior is the Christ and that he has a plan for me and my family . He loves me and wants me to some day return to live in his presence and bask in his glory. Through his atoning sacrifice this is made possible and this is the greatest blessing. For I know without that atonement I could never return to the presence of my father. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the heart of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and is God's plan for his children here on earth. I know that it is Christ's church and I am greatly blessed to have it in my life.

How I live my faith

I have held many different callings over the years in the church. I am currently in the leadership of one of our men's groups. We meet to teach, learn, and look after the needs of our church members in our area. I have four families that I home teach monthly which has been a great experience. I am able to teach and assist them in there needs and gain friendships and relationships in ways that are truly unique and very rewarding. To see the impact that my service to these families has in there lives is a great blessing. Sunday services always rejuvenate me with the spiritual nourishment that I need for the coming week. The opportunity to receive the Sacrament and renew my covenants I have made with my Heavenly father each week is wonderful. I miss it greatly when I am unable to attend my meetings. I occasionally get the opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others and that always is a great boost of the spirit for me. I try to live my life in a manner that upholds the values of my heavenly Father.
