Hi I'm Kristina

I read doctor's writing for a living, volunteer with the Boys Scouts of America and love the outdoors; and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My most imporant job will be always as a Mom. I am a Mom to four great boys. I also am a foster Mom. I am a wife. I enjoy volunteering with Boy Scouts of America. Two of my four boys are now Eagle Scouts and the other two are right on track. I like to do outdoors stuff like camp and hike, but I will have to admit that I am really a "fair-weather-camper". I like to help my kids or anyone who asks me for help trying to figure out what college that they can get into and also scholarships. I am a planner. I love to travel. I love to explore new places. I work in a hospital as a secretary and my schedule is varied and sometimes crazy.

Why I am a Mormon

After the urging from my mom to check out many churches, a friend in middle school invited me to church. At first I just went to the fun activities, they I really started to listen. I took the missionaries challenge to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. I really felt a conection with Joseph Smith as he was around the same age I was at the time. I knew I had a testimony even way back then.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day by day. I am a convert. For the longest time, I was the only member of my family. I guess you could call me the pioneer in the family. Then my kids decided they wanted to get baptized. Finally after almost 20 years of marriage my husband decided to take the lessons from the missionaries and he got baptized by our oldest son. Now eventually, I hope that our family will get to go to the Temple. My calling at church is of course in the Boy Scout Troop. I am the committee chair. It is a great calling for me with my love for planning and seeing the young men of our ward (and my own boys) progress in scouting. Scouting is a perfect partner with the church. It has the same vaules. I have also worked in the nursery with the toddlers. Worked on the ward committee to plan parties, functions and bbq's.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Kristina
A testomony to me is that special warm feeling that you get about something, that wispers that it is true. It is the feeling that is given to others when you are sharing your testimony. It sometimes makes me fill up with such feelings as tears or makes me feel good. Show more Show less
