Hi I'm Chris

I'm a Mormon. I'm a husband & father of 5. I'm an Engineer, working in the space industry. I live in Ottawa, capital of Canada.

About Me

I'm a husband & father of 5 wonderful children. My wife is from Saskatchewan. We met while both attending school in Ottawa. We have lived here ever since and we love the area. My mother is Chinese and my father is Canadian. I served my mission in the Bordeaux, France area. I'm a Mechanical Engineer, working in the space industry. At work I am part of a team that designs, assembles, tests and launches satellites into space. Not much time for hobbies due to work, kids and church service. But when I have time, I enjoy: - trying new and good food (especially oriental food) - doing things outdoors - working around the house My favourite thing is to spend time with the kids and do things together as a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm was born into the church and was baptized when I was 8 yrs old. Having said that...I still had to gain my own testimony of the gospel and importance of the church. The church has provided me many opportunities to grow, learn and have uplifting experiences. But it has been through quiet, very personal moments that I have gained my true convictions. Being a technical-oriented person, I still view things in a logical manner and I have also tried to learn about other beliefs and still keep my thoughts and attitudes open. But I have yet to find anything as compelling and complete as the doctrines of the restored church of Christ. I feel truly blessed to be a member of this church and I feel it has made me a better husband, father and person.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve in the church, especially in the youth program in the ward and regional levels. I have helped organize and run many youth activities and youth conferences for the Kingston, Ottawa and Montreal areas. I enjoy serving the youth of the church because our small efforts can offer them opportunities that may have a significant impact on their lives. They are also the future of the the church and our society. The church offers them so much direction and support which is so desperately needed these days.
