Hi I'm Jady

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my wife for almost 15 years and we have 3 wonderful children that seem to be growing up quicker than expected. I have a lot of fun coaching sports and being involved in my children's lives. Recently I have coached football, soccer, and baseball. I am an Avid Cyclist and enjoy riding with Friends and Family. I am actively involved in the Triathlon Community and typically compete in 5 events a year.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Latter Day Saint home with a strong gospel centered atmosphere. At a very young age the gospel was taught to me. Concepts like where did I come from, where am I going, and why am I here were never questions that I faced because I knew these answers. I knew that God Lived and that He sent His Son to the earth to Atone for my sins. I had been taught that there were Prophets on the earth today that received revelation from God to lead His church. I was taught that Families can live together forever as eternal units if each individual did their part. I understood the nature of God as well as the reality of Satan. We read the scriptures as a family and learned to bear testimony of the things that we knew at a very young age. All of these concepts and many more created a foundation for my beliefs. Though I had been taught I needed to know for myself that these things were true. I needed to know that this was my choice to live and believe what I was taught. My true conversion to church came after I had made several choices that were contrary to the teachings of my youth. My wife and I were expecting our first son. What an exciting time for us as new parents. So many expectations and questions. So may hopes and dreams for our new little family. It was then that the thought occurred to me how am I going to raise my son? What concepts will I teach him? Will he grow up as I did with a foundation? As these questions circled in my mind my wife and I decided that it was time to make the changes in our lives that would allow us to be an eternal family. My wife was baptized and we were sealed to our oldest son 18 months after he was born. And so Today I know that God Lives and that He loves us and that He knows each of us personally. I know that He sent His Son to Atone for us so that we may live with him again some day. This is why I am Mormon today because I know that it is true.

How I live my faith

As an adult I have been actively involved in serving in the church. Most of my time I have been able to work with the youth of the church. I know from my own experience that they are looking for the same answers that I was looking for at their age which is are the concepts I have been taught true and if so do I have the courage to live them? I have had several opportunities with my current assignment to be associated with all the different organizations in the church. This has allowed me to teach and to be taught. I enjoy serving in the Temple monthly as well as visiting my assigned home teaching families. When I think about the time that I spend serving in the church it gives me pleasure to know that I am doing my part to build the Kingdom of God here on the earth. I am excited to know that in some small way I am touching the lives of His children and doing what He would do if he were here himself.
