Hi I'm Karalee

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 41 year old mother of 3. I was blessed to be born into a family that were members of the church. I married outside of the church to a wonderful man who is truly a blessing in my life! We have been married for 20 years! We have one child still at home who is a senior in high school this year and 2 in college. Our children are the most important in our lives! We have dedicated our lives to being good parents to the spirits our Father in Heaven has entrusted us with. They bring us so much happiness! We were blessed enough that my husband could make enough money to support our family and I was able to stay home with our children. We aren't rich but the blessings have definitely been worth the sacrifice. I have always wanted to be a nurse so now that our children are grown, I have gone back to college to finish getting my RN. It's wonderful to be back in school and fulfill my dreams. I recently lost my 43 year old sister to Inflammatory breast cancer. Taking care of her the last years & months of her life helped me to know that nursing is my calling in life. It was the hardest thing I have ever been through but also the most rewarding! I know that I will see my sister again, as well as all of my loved ones who have died before me. The church has taught me that and the spirit has confirmed it in my heart.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints....and I always will be! Experiences in my life have forced me to turn to the Lord for help, comfort and answers to questions and problems in my life. When I have finally humbled myself and gone to the Lord in prayer, he has always sent the answer. Sometimes the answer has been no, but it was the answer I needed at the time. I have felt the spirit of God in my life many many times when I have needed it. I have had some really hard trials in my life and grown and learned from the experiences because I turned to my Heavenly Father. I have so much to be thankful for! I have learned to be true to who I am and to stand up for what I believe. I have also learned that our Heavenly Father loves ALL of his children...no matter what or who they are! I love them too! The church has taught me not to judge the person by what you have heard or what you see, in fact, not to judge them at all. "Judge not, that ye be not judged." This is the motto to which I choose to live my life. Through all of the heartbreak, sadness, happiness and celebration in our lives the Lord is there for us! He sends love, support and help through the people in our lives. Being a member of the church has afforded me the blessing of having a ward family. We take care of each other! I have been blessed with many meals brought in when needed, help building our home and blessings and prayers in my behalf. I thank my Heavenly Father every single day for the gospel in my life! I know in my heart and with everything that I am that this church is true! I know my Father lives and I know he loves me!

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many different ways. I do my best to be a good example to all those around me. I'm not perfect, but I really do try. I love to go visit the other sisters in my ward just to see how they are doing, talk about everyday things and discuss church topics that have touched me or them. I feels great to help others and to just take girl time to visit! I try very hard to let everyone around me know that I care about them! I always try to be happy and friendly so that people feel comfortable talking to me. I love to smile at strangers on the street.
