Hi I'm Mason Shoaf

I am a missionary, I love to serve others, spend time with my friends, and live the gospel, I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a graduating senior in high school but I have received my call to serve in the Peru Cusco Mission. I am so excited to be able to serve the Lord and put my two years in a time of dedication to missionary work. I love to do adventurous things and do outdoor activities with my family. I want to be an Architect and design homes and buildings for people. I love my family and friends, and I hope to do many things during my life. I will be attending BYU when I return and I want study Civil Engineering and possibly Spanish Language.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that my Redeemer lives and that he loves me too. I was born into the LDS church, so I have had the great influence of the Holy Ghost during my life. I have that faith that allows me to know that he lived and died for our sins, and how much he loves me too. I understand how greatful families are in my life, and how they strengthen me. During my life, I have overcame so many trials, and they were all overcame because of the Holy Ghost and Heavenly Father. I know that the LDS church is true, I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and that it strengthens you in life. Over the last few years, I have had the opportunity to serve others and become closer to Christ in teaching others about the Gospel and it has brought the spirit into my life. I enjoy every moment in reading the scriptures and sharing the loving messages of the gospel.

How I live my faith

In the community, I do service during Boy Scouts. I participate in service projects with my troop, which is part of the church program. I serve the community and surrounding area in Scouts, as I have work to obtain the rank of Eagle Scout. During church, I am apart of a Priest group, which is made up of the Bishop and youth 16-18. We are responsible for blessing the sacrament and looking over the youth of the ward. We learn about the gospel, the Book of Mormon, and the Bible. I know it is important to live righteously and to participate in the programs in church. I also have been called to serve as a full time missionary for the church and I will be serving the in the Peru Cusco Mission for two years. I have also graduated from seminary, studying different gospel topics all four years of high school each morning.
