Hi I'm Kelsie Barnes

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to laugh and smile. :) I love music, and I love to play the piano. I had the privilege of going to Brigham Young University in Utah for a semester. I love to serve and to help people be happy. I love the gospel, and I'm grateful to be a part of it because it really is my life. It gives me hope, love, and laughter, and I love knowing that I always have a friend whenever I feel alone.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church, leaning on my parent's belief in the gospel until I finally gained my own testimony of the gospel. As I learn little lessons here and there throughout my life, I am continually grateful to have the gospel in my life, for I do not know how I could live without it. It gives me hope in times of trial, lightens my burdens when I feel as though the world presses upon me with neverending power, and allows me to feel of the love of my Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Service is definitely a large way that I live my faith. I have often been told that the LDS faith is not just a religion, but a lifestyle, and I totally agree with that. As I continually remind myself that in order to serve God, I must serve His children, it motivates me to act more like Him and to reach out to others. Yes, it's hard sometimes, but I know that He will give me the strength to serve others. We are His children, so why wouldn't be able to obtain the characteristics of our Father in heaven? I have the privilege to serve a mission for the Lord to the people of Kyiv, Ukraine. I'm so excited to go and share with them the joy in my life and the blessings they are entitled to receive if they desire to follow the Lord.
