Hi I'm Sol.

I'm a father of 4 children and grandfather of 10 grandchildren. I am part Hawaiian. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Hawaii in a big happy family. After high school, I joined the US Air Force. This gave me the opportunity to travel to different countries. I enjoyed their cultures and costumes. During my assignment in Germany I met my wife, a country gal from Switzerland. I enjoyed traveling in my younger years. Now in my later years I prefer to stay close to home and find pleasure working in the garden. Spending time with family and friends is also important to me.

Why I am a Mormon

Military life as a bachelor brought its own challenges. The crude language and vulgarity I was surrounded with was not what I desired. I needed the teachings and values of my upbringing. My mother taught me in my youth to what source I must look for strength in my trials and hope in adversity. Jesus Christ is the source, he is also the center of my life. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I believe in His restored Gospel.

How I live my faith

The Church teaches me that God knows and loves me. I can personally communicate with Him in prayer. He cares deeply for my spiritual and temporal success in life. I learn more about God and Jesus Christ through scripture reading and pondering. In my Ward, I visit some families monthly and inquire about their well being. If there is any need I can help with, I gladly assist. I am grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ, it gives me the opportunity to repent and be forgiven. The knowledge of forever families gives me the strength to carry on. I am trying to do my best in pleasing the Lord and serving mankind. I am proud to be a Mormon.
