Hi I'm Kristen

I enjoy music, cooking, traveling, exploring my artistic talents & being a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always had a really strong conviction of how important families are. I grew up with a very large extended family. My cousins, are some of my closest friends. That is what I am really all about. I fell in love at a young age, and started a family shortly thereafter. My husband and I have been blessed with 6 children. I feel really fortunate in this day and age to be able to be a "work at home" Mom. I feel blessed to have a husband that is able to support us. I know that our Heavenly Father wants us to have families, raise responsible children, that will in turn, carry on the traditions of having families. I have many of talents and interests, but raising a family is my main focus. It is what most of my day is focused on. I have always appreciated all the support the restored gospel of Jesus Christ has offered in raising a family. The gospel has provided a comfortable haven for nurturing, strengthening, and growing as a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to live the principles of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ because it feels good and right to me. I have a sense of peace that what I learn, hear, feel, experience, understand, and participate in is all true. I have prayed about the teachings taught and the Holy Ghost has confirmed them to me that it is true. The Holy Ghost is a powerful feeling that I cannot deny. There have been many times when I have had questions, and when I go to my Heavenly Father in prayer, they have been answered. Not always in the way that I wanted, or in my time-line, but they have definitely been answered. I love knowing and feeling that I have a Heavenly Father, who loves me and knows me and is concerned about me. Living the gospel makes me feel happy.

How I live my faith

The way that I serve in the church is through an amazing & inspired children's organization. It is wonderful. We have beautiful music that has been written & collected through all the years since the restoration. This music teaches children really great & important things. For instance, we have a beautiful song, called "I am a Child of God." This is just one of many songs that teaches children who they are and why they are here on this earth. It is a blessing in my life to serve in this children's organization, we call it the Primary. I also enjoy the privilege of visiting on a regular basis with two sisters in my ward (area). It is a great program in our church, where we develop friendships & care for one another. One sister I visit, I think is 84 years old. She is so fun to visit with & understand all that she has lived through. The other sister I visit with is from South Africa & has 4 children. I love serving these women & enjoy the sisterhood we share.
