Hi I'm Hermana Isabel Mangum

I am a Mormon, and proud to be one.

About Me

At age five I was adopted by a loving family who introduced me to this most precious gospel. They taught me the importance of loving one another, and how I need to be an example of light, and always stand for what I believe and know to be true. I am not perfect, but by living the standards of the gospel day-to-day and doing my best to be true to the gospel, I know that in the end, I can be more christ-like and make my Heavenly Father and my brother Jesus Christ happy of my works and doings.

Why I am a Mormon

When you find something that gives you a warm feeling inside, makes you feel good about yourself, loved, important, would you want to give that up? This church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints gives me those feelings. It lets me know and helps me recognize my self-worth and that I am a child of God, that we are all Children of God. I am a Mormon because I know this church is true, I have read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover, I have gotten down on my knees and I know for a surety that this is the true gospel, the Lord's gospel. I am a Mormon because I know that through this church I can return to my family again and that we can be reunited with our Heavenly Father and brother Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon not because of what my family thinks or wants, but because I know that it is what I am supposed to be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching people and bringing other people to the knowledge my faith. I was called to serve in the Washington Yakima Mission and I have never been more excited to share my faith and what I believe and know to be true.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Hermana Isabel Mangum
The blessings you can receive from reading the Book of Mormon are simple. You can get a better understanding of what the lord's plans for us are. Reading the scriptures once just make you cry in happiness of know that this is what the Lord wants for us and this is the true church. I know that by just reading a verse it makes me happy inside and it gives me the feeling of peace and love. Reading the scriptures can help you throughout your trials and help you make big or small decisions that you need help making. I know for certain that by reading the Book of Mormon AND pray about it that you will feel the same why as me. the scriptures have helped so much throughout my life that i can be certain of that. Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Hermana Isabel Mangum
Mormon's do regard the Bible to be holy words of god but we also believe that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ as stated in one of our articles of Faith. the eighth article of faith states. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. Show more Show less
