Hi I'm Stephanie

I grew up on the east coast. I have a biology degree. I almost lost my mother to cancer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read. Some of my favorite books and authors include Fablehaven, Leven Thumps, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Warriors Sagas by Erin Hunter, The Chronicles of Chrestomanci by Dianna Wynne Jones, Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling, Robert Langdon Stories by Dave Brown, The Cobra Event and The Hot Zone by Richard Preston. I have a passion for playing the Organ. I took lessons at BYU Idaho and now play mostly for fun. I teach piano and Organ lessons. I also have a passion for the Sciences. My favorite science is Biology and Ornithology. I received a degree in Biology from BYU Idaho and hope to get a degree in Ornithology further on in my future after I have finished raising my family. My favorite season is fall. I love the changing leaves and the cooler temperatures. My favorite holiday is Halloween. I also enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am currently a stay-at-home mom/ homemaker. I enjoy taking care of my daughter and husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My parents are members, my grandparents are members, and my great-grandparents are members. My family has always been members as far back as I know. When I reached the age of Eight, I had the opportunity to reject the gospel or accept the gospel and be baptized. I chose to be baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have never regretted my decision since. I have visited many other churches in my past. I have enjoyed these visits but the spirit (Holy Ghost) I felt in these churches was never nearly as wonderful as the spirit I feel every time I go to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It is this feeling that has kept me a member of the LDS faith.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be like Jesus in all that I do and say. I try to keep His commandments and listen to His teachings. At church I willingly provide my talents to serve the faithful members. I provide the music for our meetings every week by playing the organ and piano. I love sharing my talents with others and that is why I also willingly prepare and play special musical solos and duets several times a year on the organ and piano. Every month I try to visit several women in the ward. At these visits we just talk and get to know each other and become friends. We also share little spiritual thoughts and incites. I offer help and service to these women when ever they need it. This is what we call visiting teaching.
