Hi I'm Wendi

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 4 Beautiful children, two boys and two girls.....3 living and 1 who has passed on.... my oldest child is preparing to get married, I have another child just fresh in college and my youngest child just started high school. My passion is helping others and I am currently pursuing a path in Counseling. I someday would like to be a grief counselor and assist others who have lost a loved one. But for now I work as a Human Resource Director. I enjoy my job and what I do, yet I have the strong desire to reach out to others who have suffered a loss. My strongest coping skill is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I enjoy the comfort of reading the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I live each day knowing that I have my sweet son waiting for me on the other side.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints all of my life, I knew that I had a Heavenly Father and believed in his son Jesus Christ. Yet I didn't have a true conversion of the Gospel until after the death of my 18 year old son. The moments following his death were indescribable. It was a feeling of great loss, sorrow, panic, despair and hopelessness.....just days following his death I remembered I could be with him again. Because of the Plan of Salvation we can live with our families and our Heavenly Father after we die. I knew I needed to change some things in my life. I had a great desire to investigate what he was doing and where he was.....I knew that he wasn't "asleep" as others may believe, I knew my son was around me, I felt him and I felt his love. I learned that he is in the Spirit World that he is learning and progressing just as I am. That I will have the opportunity to be with my sweet son again if I live right and follow the commandments the Lord has given me. I also learned how much my Savior loves me, and what love I have for him. The Savior carried me at times when I could barely cope with life, I had times of such deep grief I quickly came to realize I could rely on the Lord to help me get through this time and to lift me. I am thankful for the Savior's Love, for the love of my Heavenly Father and for the insights and comfort I have received from the spirit of the Lord.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and look forward to going. I am a Nursery teacher and care for small children during Sunday School so that parents can attend their classes without having to tend to their children. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve in my church and enjoy living my life striving each day to be more like the Savior. I attend the Temple frequently and enjoy the peace and comfort it gives me. I participate in doing work for the dead at the Temple and each time I go I feel such contentment and love in my heart.
