Hi I'm James

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wife and a teenage daughter. I currently serve as a Boy Scout 11-year leader and a Sunday organist. For a living I design indoor trampoline parks. I also do occasional work as a video editor, construction worker, teacher and computer consultant. For fun I like good stories, deep discussions and outdoor adventures. One of my favorite stories is the Foundation series, a sci fi classic by Isaac Asimov. One of my favorite deep thinkers is Orson Scott Card, renowned LDS author of fiction. One of my favorite outdoor activities is rock climbing.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because participating in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout my life I've always been able to find specific answers to my questions about my purpose. I find explorations of mind, matter, space and civilizations to be endlessly fascinating. I have not run out of questions. And my spring source of clarification has not run dry.

How I live my faith

In my ward (congregational family) I have two or more ongoing assignments that I carry out weekly. Additionally, I find opportunities to support my community by teaching, visiting neighbors in need, sharing creative talents and participating in family-centered events.
