Hi I'm David Covey

I'm from Pocatello Idaho, I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm the oldest of 7 kids! I love to play basketball and soccer. I'm a super-hero expert. I love to hunt, camp and be just be outdoors, but when I'm not outside I'm inside watching movies or playing games with my awesome family. I love them all so much! Before my mission I attended BYU for 3 semesters. Now I'm serving in the California Fresno Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a loving family that lives the Gospel standards, but I have really gained a testimony of my own while on my mission. Being out in the field everyday and being able to teach and invite others to change their lives has helped my testimony to grow. I'm a Mormon now not because my parents are, but because I KNOW that what I teach is true. I KNOW that God has a plan for us, and the only way to return to live with Him someday is by following that plan.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be more like my Savior Jesus Christ. I love Him so much, and I'm so grateful for the sacrifice that He made for me. Everyday I have to fight to be righteous, but everyday, as I rely on Him and the promptings of the Holy Ghost, I'm able to overcome worldly temptations and take one more step closer to my Father in Heaven.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

David Covey
Yes, I know that we have a prophet today. God still works the same way that He did in biblical times. His name is Thomas S. Monson. The best way to find out whether or not he's a real prophet of God is by listening to his words, and then testing them for yourselves. Show more Show less

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

David Covey
Yes, it is true that Christ appeared to the Nephites here in the Americas after his resurrection. God loves all His children equally, so it would only make sense that He would send His Son to the people of the Americas as well as to those in Jerusalem. Show more Show less
