Hi I'm Cat Meredith

I am an EMT, firefighter, & nurse. I am a Christian, mother, & wife. I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

I am a devout Christian. I love to read mysteries and thrillers and murder mysteries. I love to ride bicycles and motorcycles. I love to watch movies with my six kids and my husband. We love to pop popcorn and chow down while we are watching the movie together. I love riding roller coasters, the bigger and faster the better. I have worked as an EMT, firefighter, and am now a nurse. I have one boy, he is the oldest, and I have 5 daughters. I am hoping for more if the Lord is willing. My husband is my best friend, and we love date nights. I love to eat pizza and Mexican food, and my favorite desserts are Cold Stone Creamery's Cake Batter Ice cream in a chocolate dipped cone and Buttercream frosted vanilla cupcakes. I am taking online classes to further my education. I love doing service for others. If the worst thing that someone can say about you is that you are too nice, then I think you are doing ok. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and am so grateful for His example and His loving sacrifice for all mankind.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have a strong testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel. I have to admit, though, there was a short time in my life, where I faltered on some of my beliefs because I was hurt and confused. I am grateful for loving parents and family and church members that never gave up on me and continued to pray for me. I finally realized that I was happiest when I was living the Gospel standards. I am so grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ. I am so thankful for second chances and the knowledge of my Savior's love for me. I know He lives, and I am so thankful for a loving Heavenly Father who loved us so much that He sent his only Begotten Son to save all mankind. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know the Gospel teachings are true, and I firmly believe that our Heavenly Father has a plan for all of us. He wants us to pray to Him and seek Him out. I am grateful for a living Prophet who teaches us correct principles, so that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ again. I am also grateful for what the Church teaches on how important Family is. I love my family and am so blessed to be a mom and wife, and I know I can be with them for eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by trying every day to smile and be kind to others for I know this is what my Savior wants me to do. I read my scriptures every day. I read from the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, the Pearl of Great Price, and the Holy Bible, King James Version. I am currently reading the New Testament, and I am in the book of James. I am a visiting teacher that loves to visit with my Ward sisters. I am currently serving in the Primary as Secretary. I love Primary. I get to be with all the children ages 18 months to 11 years old during church. I love the faithfulness of the children and their love for Jesus and for others. I have served as Primary Chorister, Primary President, Ist Counselor in Primary, Primary Teacher, Laurel's Advisor in Young Women's, Relief Society Secretary, Activity Day Girls Leader, Ward Activities Member, just to name a few. I am honored to serve in the Church and know that my family is truly blessed because of it. My family tries to read the scriptures every day before school and work, and we have family prayer afterwards. Because of my husband's and my work schedules, we hold Family Home Evening on Sunday evenings. This is the time where we read, play games, watch church films, go for walks, learn new Primary songs, etc. The most important thing is that we are doing it together as a family. I enjoy performing in the Melo Drama every year in our Town of Buckeye. I love to perform on stage, singing and dancing and acting. It also allows me to get to know a lot of the towns people, making them laugh and smile. I enjoy participating in service projects like quilt making, making hygiene kits for the needy, and collecting non parishable food items for our local food bank. I firmly believe that when we are doing service for our fellowmen, we are doing service for our Heavenly Father. He has blessed my family so much. It would be impossible for me not to try to give back by doing service for others.
