Hi I'm Michael

I was born in Arizona. I currently live in Washington State. I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I was born in the beautiful deserts of Arizona. My parents divorced and remarried when I was about 7 years old. I live most of the year in Washington State with my mom. I am the oldest of 6 and ONLY boy. 0_o I love getting lost in a good book; especially one the I can share with my whole family. I like to spend time with friends and family (vacationing, talking, eating, etc.) I look forward to movie nights at home. I love watching movies and playing video games with my sisters because we can get crazy, and always find something to laugh about for a while afterwards. I Enjoy working with computers: I build them, fix them, customize them, and set them up for people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know that it is true. The Spirit has testified this to me with such force and regularity that I can NEVER deny it, and nothing can change the fact that it is THE church that Christ HIMSELF established during his time on earth. Though it is true that I was born into The Church, that has little or nothing to do with my current membership.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in the Indiana, Indianapolis Mission. I seek to share The Gospel every day, and to help others as best I can to come closer to Christ. I love doing service. I do not use foul language. I hope that I am an example to my friends, and my little sisters.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Tithing is one tenth of one’s income that is given to The Church to better God’s work. It has been known since Old Testament times; Abraham paid tithes to Melchizedek (Genesis 14:17-20). The law of tithing is how the Lord funds His Church. Tithing funds are used for: ■Constructing temples, chapels, and other buildings. ■Providing operating funds for the Church. ■Funding the missionary program (This does not include individual missionary expenses.) ■Preparing materials used in Church classes and organizations. ■Temple work, family history, and many other important Church functions. ■Education. When the Lord reminded His people of this law through the prophet Malachi in the Old Testament, He promised to bless those who were willing to pay an honest tithe (Malachi 3:10). Show more Show less
