Hi I'm Rody

I love football and coaching young men. I love the Savior Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father. I have 4 children, 3 teenage boys and 1 girl. By profession I work with high voltage electricity. I like football. I have played and coached football at many levels. Aside from the physical aspect and X's and O's of the game I love being associated with young men. It is important to me to be a positive influence in their lives. Football is a great laboratory for life lessons and teaching and being involved in a young men's lives and seeing them succeed is almost as rewarding as being the very best husband and father I can be. Other hobbies and interests I have are cycling, hunting, fishing, and doing whatever I can with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

Honesty I am a Mormon because my mom and dad are Mormon as was their mother and father before them. Even though I was raised in a Mormon home I have studied and prayed for the duratiuon of my life to know God and my Savior, Jesus Christ. I have found through following the Spirit of God that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints contains the fullness of the gospel. It has brought me closer to God and aligned my life with His. I am in no way perfect of even close to it, however I am closer to the one person that can perfect me and provide salvation for me and that is my redeemer and savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

One of the many things I love most about what my faith teaches is service. I love the way I feel when I participate in charitable acts of service (perferably annonomously) I have had many opportunities to serve in the community and in the Church. Out of all the callings I have held I would have to say teaching children is my favorite. When you sit in the presents of children, you sit closer to the presences of God. Their eyes are so full of wonder and eagerness. Children love you no matter what. They do not care or judge someone on how they are dressed or what their hair looks like. They do not judge, they only love. Currently I serve as the Bishop of a LDS congragation of about 500 members. This has proven to be a challanging yet rewarding experience. There are many administrative responsibilities involved with this calling which can be overwhelming at times. The part I love most about being a bishop is seeing the changes and increase of faith in peoples lives as they strive to truly become converted to Christ. I ahve never had the capacity to love as unconditionally as I have learned to do since being called to be a bishop.
