Hi I'm Chuck Gray

I was born and raised in Arizona. I was a brick layer, a police officer, and a State Senator. I own my own business. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a construction family. My dad was a masonry contractor and so I laid block and brick in the hot Arizona sun until my early 30's. I later became a police officer for a large city. I enjoyed working in the different areas within the police department including patrol, community relations, gang unit, auto theft and burglaries. My passion is public service and politics. I enjoy reading and studying American history especially regarding our Founding Fathers. I am a father of five and a grandfather of eight. I have been married to my beautiful wife for over thirty years. I love life, family, church and country.

Why I am a Mormon

I know God hears and answers my prayers. He has answered my prayers since I was a young child. Just as I have a father on earth who loves me, so do I have a Father in Heaven who also loves me. I feel his love and know that I am part of his eternal family. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS) church is God's organization in this life to unite us as earthly and eternal families. It teaches me about my heavenly family and how I can lead my earthly family back to God's presence to live with Him forever. I know God lives. I know He loves me. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His organization here on earth to assist me and my family to endure life's trials and to one day return to the presence of God and His son Jesus Christ. I know Christ suffered for my sins and provided a path of Salvation for us all. The LDS Church teaches me and my family about God and Christ and how we must live our lives to return to live in the kingdom of heaven. I know those teaching to be true. That's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have served as a Scoutmaster and youth leader for many years. I have taught young children and teenagers in the church and am currently teaching the adult Sunday School class. My wife and I currently visit (monthly) two single sisters who live alone. We assist them where they have needs and provide moral support the best we can. The Church provides me an opportunity to serve others and when I have been in need, they have served me and my family.
