Hi I'm Jessica

I'm a mom and a wife. I am learning to make life beautiful. I'm not perfect, but I'm trying, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the beautiful region of Northwest Washington in a small town north of Seattle. I love to be outside enjoying God's beautiful creations. I recently graduated with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, but I am choosing to stay home and mother my baby boy. I try to appreciate the beauty in my life through each moment. I am passionate about cooking and eating delicious and nourishing foods. I spend my days mothering, cooking, and sewing as often as I can. Being a mother is challenging and sometimes I am too hard on myself! I am learning to focus on the small and good things I am able to do each day such as sing to my baby and smile at my husband. I am striving to rely on Jesus Christ to become better and overcome my weaknesses.

Why I am a Mormon

I am so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The gospel brings me so much joy. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins, and I know that He lives. I am so grateful for his perfect life and his sacrifice for me. I know that because of Him there is hope for me because I can repent every day. I know that we are all children of God. I know that He knows me personally and is watching over me because I have seen so many small miracles in my life. I am so grateful that the church is led by Christ through his latter-day prophet, and I am grateful for the revelation that still comes from heaven. I am grateful for the knowledge that my family can be together forever, if we follow God's plan. Without the knowledge the gospel brings me, I would be lost in a world of ever-changing values. I know that being a part of the Lord's church has blessed my life with joy and peace.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow Jesus Christ. I am not perfect, and at times I fail. But, I do my best. I try to lift those around me by being friendly and kind. I smile and say "Good Morning" to people I see on the street. I strive to serve those around me in small and simple ways. My friends know that I set high standards for myself. I try to speak, think and act with virtue. I search the scriptures and listen to the words of the Lord from his prophets and I try to live those words. I hope that by doing these things that I can prepare to become a faithful mother to my children and teach them about Jesus Christ and how to live with faith.
