Hi I'm Carly

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Secondary Education (English) student at Arizona State University. I love music of all varities; particularly, I love to sing and I've been in choir since I was in elementary school. I come from a journalism family - my parents met and fell in love while working at the college newspaper I work for now. My hope is that someday I'll teach high school journalism or yearbook classes after I graduate.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church by both of my parents. Since my father is a convert, I went to the temple with them when I was just two weeks old to be sealed to them for time and all eternity. Even though I'm an adult now, I continue to attend church every week and follow the doctrines of the gospel because I've felt the spirit testify to me of the truthfulness of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have a tesitimony of the God's love for all of his children. I know he sent his son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins. I am so grateful for the power of Christ's atonement and I know it works in our lives every day.

How I live my faith

I attend church every sunday at the University 2nd Ward near the ASU Tempe campus. I'm currently a visiting teacher for three other wonderful young women. I also attend classes at the Tempe LDS Institute of Religion Monday through Wednesday. I try to maintain a close relationship with my Heavenly Father through praying to him daily when I need guidance and thanking him for all the wonderful blessings in my life.
