Hi I'm Marc

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, a father, a university professor, and serve as a local bishop in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I enjoy spending my free time with my wife and kids exploring the Black Hills, running, fishing, and other outdoor activities. I have many friends of other faiths (both christian and non christian) and I enjoy understanding their faith and culture as well as sharing my own.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me complete. I have spent many years in school (just ask my wife) and I enjoy both gaining as well as sharing knowledge. In all my pursuit of education nothing has made more sense, seemed more logical or brought more satisfaction than the Gospel of Jesus Christ as found in the Book of Mormon and Bible. We are promised in the new Testament (John 14:26) that the Comforter, or Holy Ghost, will teach us all things. This has truly been my experience as a Mormon as the Holy Ghost has helped me to see and experience the Gospel of Jesus Christ in it's entirety.

How I live my faith

Living ones faith is a daily experience. I try to be an example of the Savior in all that I do, whether in the class room, at the church, traveling, or in my own home I try and live my life in a way that shows kindness to others and is pleasing to my Heavenly Father.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Marc
Church services are great. You will find that everyone in the congregation participates in one way or another in the Church. It is always wonderful to hear from different members of the congregation during sacrament meetings or Sunday School. There are classes for all ages including the youngest children as well as an opportunity for the brothers and sisters to meet together. Visitors are always welcome and should feel comfortable and free to participate in our worship services. Show more Show less
