Hi I'm Keilah

I'm a health and fitness enthusiast. I'm a musician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending college, and I love it. My major is Exercise and Wellness, and I love to learn about the human body, and how we can live our lives healthier. I love to work out, whether by running, swimming, playing volleyball, doing weights, using the elliptical machine, or anything else. I also absolutely love to play the piano and sing.

Why I am a Mormon

I honestly don't know how I could get through life's challenges without the gospel. I love knowing that trials we experience are for a reason - to help us grow and develop to become like Heavenly Father, and to live with Him again someday. I know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, I can be forgiven of my sins so that I can have eternal life. The gospel just makes sense. I have taken several classes such as Anatomy and Physiology and many others, and honestly, they have strengthened my testimony of my loving Heavenly Father so much. I am so grateful for the amazing body He created for me, and that it works so well. I know we were given the Book of Mormon to help us in this day and age. Heavenly Father has given us prophets so that He can let us know how to live our lives in better accordance with His will. I am so grateful for that. These prophets and apostles love us and can help us come closer to Christ and Heavenly Father. God puts people in our lives - just when we need them - who will help us. He knows exactly what we need and how to help.

How I live my faith

I love attending my church meetings. They always lift me up and replenish the spiritual energy I need to get through the week. I bear my testimony by singing in the ward choir. Lately, I have found that reading my scriptures works best for me right when I get home before I start on homework. I'm not tired from just waking up/in a rush to run out the door, or so tired and ready to go to sleep that I try to finish too quickly. I have more time to ponder and contemplate what I am studying this way. I have found that at different times in life, different times have worked for me - you just have to find what works for you. Also, I share my testimony with my roommates. We love having gospel discussions, and we learn so much from each other. Recently, we talked about having faith in the Lord's timing. Choose to be happy now, and stop being so worried about the future that you forget about appreciating the present. Trust that God knows you better than you know yourself, and He will lead you on the path that is best for you - that will bring you the most happiness you could ever have. I also live my faith by strengthening relationships with my family. Though I live far from my mom and brother, I frequently talk and Skype with them. I know that families are essential to God's plan, and that we get to live with them forever. I also love spending an occasional weekend with my extended family, who live relatively close. We lift each other up and love each other.
